Latino Hotel Association in Big Bear formed BIG BEAR LAKE MARKETING ASSOCIATION: NEWS RELEASE
A new regional organization dedicated to expanding Latino access, leadership and commerce in the Big Bear Lake, CA hotel industry was launched today.
The Big Bear Lake Latino Hotel Association (BBLLHA), group will focus on supporting Latinos through education about job opportunities, management and leadership; hosting regional and local conferences; and networking with hotel management and suppliers. Founding sponsor is the Big Bear lake Marketing Association (BBLMA). Founding supporters include Golden Bear Cottages Resort, BigBearHoteles.com, BigBearRetreats.net, BigBearWeddings.net, BigBearLodging.net and AccommodationsinBigBear.com
The Latino community has established a foothold in the our local hotel industry, but the full potential remains largely untapped, said Don DiCarlo and Len Duran, president and general managers of BBLMA. Latinos are a small, but growing, force in hotel leadership in the Big Bear Valley, and opportunities will continue to grow with the language learning advice and support offered by this local group. Initally amoung other advice, they will encourage the local Latino hotel community to take advantage in their bilingual uniqueness and futher improve on it. The BBLMA feel their role is to educate and assist the local Latino community in playing a much larger role in our industry, including web development and Internet presence, leadership in hotel operations and job growth in the lodging industry. Their supporter BigBearHoteles.com is a well-known Latin brand, with over 184 Internet properties and a strong presence in popular resorts areas such as Big Bear Lake, CA. Another supporter Golden Bear Cottages Resort offers hispanic family vacations. They both offer popular family friendly and pet friendly rental vacation cabins with a bilingual staff which is fluent in both English and Spanish. The BBLLHA also will speak out on issues that affect Latinos and the hotel industry and work closely with organizations such as the American Hotel Lodging Association and national website development company Alternate Image (Online Parent Company of Open Hotel, WorldRETS). BBBLHA serves to communicate with our larger regional Latino community their concerns and recommendations to the city, county and other governmental bodies to advance their future in America.
