TOP PICKS:
1 to 5 star ratings.

La Bamba mexican restaurant -- 5.0 stars
A local secret. La Bamba is run by a small Mexican family. Just off the Village Drive, it is not necessarily easy to find, but the search is worth it. La Bamba makes fresh authentic Mexican food daily. Their prices are very reasonable: from $6.95 for dinner. The cuisine consists of traditional Mexican dishes that includes fresh seafood. Beer and mixed drinks are available. Three time Taste of Big Bear Award winner for the "Fresh Salsa" competition. Conveniently located on Bonanza Trail ( just a mile from famous Golden Bear Cottages Resort) on the north side of the Northwoods Resort parking lot.

Azteca Mexican Restaurant -- 4.5 stars
Our family has tried every almost every dish on the menu. The authentic Mexican recipes are always great. The specialty carne asada enchilladas are fantastic. The albondigas soup had huge meatballs and was wonderful. The other menu items are just as good. The service is great. The hosts Rosa and Arturo feature authentic Baja Style Mexican dishes, plus several very popular signature menu items- including Azteca Shrimp, Enchiladas del Mar, and the world famous Azteca Quesadillas.

Nottinghams Tavern - 4.0 stars
This restaurant certainly has many tourists ready to enjoy another feast the next time they enjoy a vacation in Big Bear. The setting makes you think of a dining establishment set up for the days of Robin Hood. The many amenities provide customers to enjoy a wonderful breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Actually, pets are welcomed in this restaurant, and there's a bar ready for a person who might want to take a swing of some good, ole ale (beer). The area is so big that banquets can even be held here. This dining venue can definitely put a big smile on your family's faces.

Captain's Anchorage - 4.0 stars
The Captain's Anchorage has provided many customers with some of the best seafood and other scrumptious meals since 1947. Originally owned by movie star Andy Devine. Steaks are also served at this restaurant, and by the way, the restaurant's clam chowder is to die for. Settle down for some steaks, seafood, and any other delicacy the restaurant can put in front of your face. Well, many of our guests have simply enjoyed their dine-ins at this dining establishment.
